Compare PDF

See exactly what changed between two PDF versions.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is never uploaded to our server.

What to expect from the outputComparison is based on the text content of each file, so it catches wording changes precisely. It does not detect purely visual differences — a moved image, a changed colour or a different font will not show up unless the words changed too.

About this tool

Load two versions of a document and get a word-level difference report: additions in green, deletions in red, with a page-by-page summary of where the changes are.

How to use this tool

  1. Select the original PDF and the revised PDF.
  2. Click Compare.
  3. Read the highlighted differences, or download the report.

Frequently asked questions

Can it compare scanned documents?
Only after OCR. A scan has no text to compare, so run both files through OCR PDF first.
