What to expect from the outputThis editor adds new content on top of the existing page. It does not rewrite the text that is already in the PDF — to change an existing sentence, cover it with a filled rectangle and type the replacement above it, or convert the file to Word, edit there, and convert back.

About this tool

Open a PDF and mark it up directly: add text boxes, drop in images, draw rectangles, ellipses and lines, highlight passages, or sketch freehand. Everything is baked into a real PDF when you save.

How to use this tool

  1. Load your PDF and navigate to the page you want to change.
  2. Pick a tool from the toolbar — text, image, shape, highlighter or pen — and place it on the page.
  3. Drag any element to reposition it, or select it and press Delete to remove it.
  4. Click Save PDF when you are done.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit text that is already in the PDF?
Not directly. PDF stores text as positioned glyphs rather than editable paragraphs, so genuine text editing needs a full reflow. Cover and retype, or round-trip through the PDF to Word tool.
Do my annotations stay editable after saving?
No — they are flattened into the page so the file looks the same in every viewer. Keep the original if you want to make further changes.
