Frequently asked questions

Can the watermark be removed later?
A watermark drawn over the page content can be stripped by someone with the right software — treat it as a visible deterrent, not as security. For genuine restriction, use Protect PDF to set a password.
Which image formats work as a watermark?
PNG (including transparency) and JPG. A transparent PNG usually looks best over document text.
