PDF to Excel

Pull tables out of a PDF into a spreadsheet.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is never uploaded to our server.

What to expect from the outputTable extraction is a best-effort process. Well-aligned tables with consistent column positions come out accurately. Merged cells, wrapped multi-line cells, nested tables and tables without clear column alignment may be split incorrectly — always check the preview before relying on the numbers.

About this tool

Detect the tabular data inside a PDF and export it as .xlsx or .csv, with each detected table on its own sheet. Ideal for statements, price lists and reports.

How to use this tool

  1. Select the PDF containing the tables.
  2. Preview the detected tables and untick any you do not want.
  3. Click Convert and download as XLSX or CSV.

How it works

Table detection works by grouping text items that share a vertical position into rows, then clustering their horizontal positions into columns. Clean, well-aligned tables detect reliably.

Frequently asked questions

No tables were detected in my file.
Either the PDF is a scan with no text layer — run OCR PDF first — or the data is not laid out in aligned columns. In the second case the plain-text export may be easier to clean up manually.
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes. Set a page range before converting to skip cover pages and appendices.
